Exchange Simulator

The interesting part of an exchange is what happens between the clicks.
I built a multi-symbol limit-order-book engine and desktop trading terminal in Java. It supports LIMIT, MARKET, and STOP_LIMIT orders, processing under strict price-time priority, alongside concurrent order handling, market simulation, analytics, and an event log. In my recorded local benchmark, 300,000 orders completed in 0.55–0.84 seconds; 67 JUnit 5 tests validate the engine’s behavior.

Price, then time.
The matching engine handles LIMIT, MARKET, and STOP_LIMIT orders across symbols while enforcing strict price-time priority.

A visible market.
A Swing terminal presents books, trades, event logs, and analytics so the engine can be inspected as it runs.
Tested and measured.
67 JUnit 5 tests cover behavior. A 300,000-order local benchmark recorded 0.55–0.84 seconds in the measured environment.
